India - My vision

India on 15th August 2016 marked its 69th independence day. A lot happened in these 7 decades, whether it be politics, people, sports, literature,  art, science and technology. Everything just got changed all through these years. But still India is not among the developed countries of the world.
The gap between the rich and the poor became more wider. The education sector of India developed a lot, obtained a lot of recognition around the world, many Indians are leaders of prominent companies around the globe, but still India's Primary education and Secondary schooling has always been neglected. Here the main focus is to obtain a degree. Without degree a person cannot be recognized. For eg. If i have knowledge, and I do an invention, then everyone would just ask " Which degree or qualification do you have".Failing to do so, means you haven't achieved anything. NO degree, No invention.
Who will give answer to them?
Who is responsible for their current situation?
The same is the case in medical sector. The doctors and researchers of our country have developed anti-dose of various diseases and have a cure of fatal diseases as well, but still not everyone can avail that treatment as it costs a lot. A lot. An average middle class person who keeps a track of his daily expenses can't afford a treatment that costs more than his annual income. What happens is that he goes to his family doctor, gets medicines for merely the symptoms of the disease and later on the condition worsens. The government hospitals provide treatment at very cheap rates, but there is no room for more patients, there isn't much staff that can treat so many people. There have been many cases that a person/ child died while waiting in a long queue to get medicines from the medical store. A person waited for 10 hours to reach the medicine counter just to get a reply that this medicine is out of stock.
Independence means freedom. Freedom from poverty, freedom from corruption, freedom from violence, freedom from discrimination. Today we are not the controller of ourselves. Some handful of politician rules us. The party which wins the election rules the people. The aim or the motive for which they were elected fades away with time. Party does welfare only for itself.
Even today after 69 years of independence poverty, illiteracy , corruption is flourishing.
Politics now has turned into a profitable work which gives you money for doing nothing.
Do you think that we are going on the right track, what Mahatma Gandhi Ji dreamed of our future India?  The question is for You.

Truth Behind Some Common Superstitions In India

MYTH AND MYTHOLOGY Have you ever been pointed out by your parents or elders over cutting nails inside the house at night? If yes have you ever wondered why they tell so? What is the reason behind it and should we really need to stop cutting nails at night? Let’s find out as I explain the truth behind some myths and superstitions prevailing in India. Cutting Nails at Night As I already discussed about it earlier, so why is this still said not to cut nails at night. This myth belongs to that times when we used lamps or candles to lighten up our house at night and at that time we didn’t have nail cutters to cut our nails. Sharp objects like blades/knives or stones were used to cut. Such sharp objects can cause serious injuries if used in low visibility such at night, therefore it was advised not to cut at night. And what about doing it inside the house? The cut nails can prick into someone’s foot and can cause pain. Offering prayers to some plants In India we conside...

It's high time we combat Fake News

With more than 56 crore internet users in India, rumours and misinformation spread across the nation like a wildfire. This misleading information in the form of fake videos, images , memes,  advertisements and messages is spread through various digital forms of communication and then through the word of mouth. Even popular news channels become the victim and source of these fake news (Credit:Youtube) A popular rumour that spread across the social media app Whatsapp back in 2016 was, that the new Rs.2000 note had a GPS tracker in it. Well it sounded kind of a joke to us, but many people believed that it was true. Also similar rumour that appeared was that the Rs 10 coins circulated in the market are fake, making auto-drivers and vegetable vendors to discontinue the exchange of currency. Fake News Virus spreading faster than the Corona-Virus When the whole world is fighting with the recent COVID-19 corona virus pandemic, there is another fight that governments ...

Are We Doing Enough to Stop Cross-Border Terrorism?

This 15 Jan, India observed its 70th Armed Forces Day (Army Day). The Indian Army is the third biggest military contingent in the world. It was formed in 1776 and since then it was brought laurels to the nation. Army Day is celebrated annually to mark the take over of General K M Cariappa as Commander of Chief of India on 15 Jan, 1949. Since then India has won many wars but there is still one fire, one war that started but never ended, a conflict between two world's most powerful nations, the nations that were once one - India and Pakistan. There have been regular violations and cease fires from Pakistan in India over the past 2 years which have tested our patience. Sundar Pattnaik's art depicts Stop Bullets, Be Friends  The question arises is that are we doing enough to stop or prevent these cross border terrorism or not ? It is estimated that there were about 770 cross border violations and militant attacks around the Line of Control (LOC), to which Indian Arm...
